Senior UX Researcher

About the role

Moniepoint is looking for a Senior UX Researcher to be the voice of its users across Nigeria. You will shape product strategy by uncovering deep insights into user needs, behaviours and aspirations, helping the company deliver accessible and impactful financial services.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and execute end‑to‑end qualitative and quantitative research across the product lifecycle, from discovery to delivery.
• Conduct in‑depth interviews, ethnographic studies, usability testing, surveys and diary studies focused on the Nigerian market.
• Synthesise data into actionable insights, personas, journey maps and mental models to drive empathy across teams.
• Monitor fintech and consumer trends in Nigeria and comparable markets through continuous landscape analysis.
• Partner with product managers, designers and engineers to translate business challenges into research questions.
• Act as the subject‑matter expert on Nigerian user needs, supporting local expansion and regional growth.
• Build and scale research operations, including participant management and maintaining organised research repositories.
• Present findings clearly to stakeholders at all levels to influence product decisions.

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience in UX or product research, preferably with digital B2C products.
• Deep experience researching African markets, specifically Nigeria.
• Advanced expertise in both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
• Proven track record of turning insights into frameworks that guide business decisions.
