Senior Project Manager – Civil Engineering

About the role

The Senior Project Manager (Civil) will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex civil and infrastructure projects for African Industries Group in Lagos. This full‑time, on‑site position oversees the entire project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with technical specifications, quality standards, safety regulations, and local codes.

Key responsibilities

• Define project scope, develop schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
• Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, vendors, and regulatory authorities.
• Supervise construction activities, conduct site inspections, and review drawings and technical documents.
• Manage change orders, monitor progress, and prepare status reports for senior leadership.
• Optimize logistics, material flow, and expediting to meet project timelines.
• Mentor project team members and drive continuous improvement in project management practices.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level project management experience in civil/construction projects.
• Hands‑on experience with expediting activities and material tracking.
• Background in inspection and quality assurance for civil works.
• Strong logistics management skills for construction environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field; PMP, Prince2, COREN or equivalent certifications are a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple large‑scale projects simultaneously with strong analytical and decision‑making abilities.
