Senior Portfolio Manager

About the role

Climb Nation is looking for an experienced, commercially‑savvy SEC‑sponsored Portfolio Manager to lead a diversified portfolio focused on alternative investments and real estate. The role covers end‑to‑end portfolio management, from strategy and asset allocation to risk oversight and performance optimisation.

Key responsibilities

• Design and manage diversified portfolios across real estate, private credit and alternative‑investment strategies.
• Lead investment evaluation, due diligence, structuring and execution of transactions.
• Oversee credit underwriting for private lending and structured‑finance opportunities.
• Manage real‑estate assets, including acquisitions, performance monitoring and exit strategies.
• Build portfolio strategies aligned with return targets, liquidity constraints and risk appetite.
• Conduct advanced financial modelling, valuation and scenario analysis.
• Monitor macro‑economic and sector trends affecting alternative‑asset performance.
• Present investment recommendations and portfolio reports to senior stakeholders and investment committees.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or a related field.
• 3‑10 years of progressive experience in portfolio, investment or asset management.
• Proven experience managing alternative‑investment and real‑estate portfolios.
• Demonstrated track record of delivering risk‑adjusted returns in African or emerging markets.
• Experience handling over 50 billion NGN in assets.
