Senior Manager, Financial Reporting

About the role

Flutterwave is looking for a Senior Manager, Financial Reporting to lead the preparation, consolidation and compliance of financial statements across multiple subsidiaries. The role combines technical accounting expertise with strong stakeholder management to support the CFO and board.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee monthly, quarterly and annual close processes, ensuring accurate financial information in NetSuite and robust reconciliations.
• Prepare and review consolidated IFRS financial statements, manage intercompany eliminations, foreign currency translations and chart of accounts.
• Coordinate interim and annual external audits, liaise with auditors in various jurisdictions and ensure timely sign‑off of audited statements.
• Develop and enforce Group Accounting Policies, lead implementation of new IFRS standards such as IFRS 9, 15, 16, 17, 18.
• Drive automation and standardisation of reporting processes, partnering with IT and FP&A to enhance NetSuite, Oracle and Power BI tools.
• Collaborate with Treasury, Tax and FP&A on FX disclosures, deferred tax accounting and performance dashboards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field and professional qualification (ACA, ACCA or CPA).
• 10–12 years of financial reporting experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial role within payments, fintech or banking.
• Deep knowledge of IFRS, multi‑jurisdictional consolidation and experience with Big 4 audit environments.
• Proven ability to lead and develop teams across multiple geographies and currencies.
• Strong analytical, stakeholder management and communication skills.
