About the role
The Senior Commercial Manager – Oil & Gas is responsible for maximising revenue and optimising product offtake for refined petroleum products. You will align sales strategies with refinery output, ensure cash‑flow optimisation and support the ramp‑up and long‑term performance of the plant.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies for PMS, AGO, ATK, LPG and other refined products, targeting both domestic and export markets.
- Monitor market trends, pricing benchmarks and competitive dynamics to guide sales decisions.
- Manage key customer relationships, lead commercial negotiations and oversee contract compliance.
- Implement pricing strategies in line with global benchmarks, local market conditions and group guidelines.
- Coordinate with Finance and Trading teams on pricing approvals and margin optimisation.
- Work closely with Refinery Operations, Supply Chain and Logistics to align production plans with sales commitments.
- Manage sales forecasting, demand planning and ensure timely product dispatch while minimising inventory build‑up.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering or a related discipline; Master’s or MBA is an advantage.
- 15+ years of commercial experience in oil refining, downstream oil & gas, trading or energy markets.
- Proven track record in refinery product sales, pricing and contract negotiation.
- Strong understanding of domestic and export petroleum markets.
- Experience operating in large, complex, operational environments.
