Relationship Manager

About the role

The Relationship Manager will drive acquisition and growth of SME loan portfolios for a leading financial services provider in Lagos. You will act as the primary point of contact for prospective and existing SME clients, guiding them through the full loan lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, prospect, acquire and onboard eligible SME clients.
• Guide clients through loan applications, documentation, verification, approval and disbursement.
• Achieve monthly loan disbursement targets and monitor repayment behaviour.
• Maintain accurate client, pipeline, disbursement and repayment records.
• Provide market intelligence, client feedback and competitor insights.
• Ensure compliance with internal credit, documentation and reporting processes.
• Prepare periodic reports on acquisition, portfolio performance and pipeline activity.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Marketing or related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in sales, relationship management, SME lending, credit or micro‑finance.
• Proven ability to acquire and manage business clients.
• Strong commercial judgement, attention to detail and customer‑service orientation.
• Ability to work independently, manage a pipeline and meet targets.
