Recovery Agent

About the role

The Recovery Agent will contact borrowers to recover overdue payments, educate them on repayment obligations, and negotiate settlement plans in line with company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Reach out to debtors via phone, SMS, email, and field visits to collect overdue amounts.
• Explain contractual obligations and repayment terms to customers.
• Negotiate repayment schedules, settlements, or restructuring plans following guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records of interactions, commitments, and follow‑up actions in the database.
• Escalate unresolved accounts and support legal recovery processes with required documentation.
• Provide regular feedback and reports on debtor trends, challenges, and risks.
• Achieve assigned monthly recovery targets.

Required profile

• OND in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field.
• Minimum 2 years experience in collections/recovery within consumer finance, micro‑finance or banking.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and persuasion abilities.
• Commitment to meeting performance goals.
• Excellent time‑management, multitasking and prioritisation skills.
• Fluent in English and Pidgin, with additional language abilities a plus.
