Reconciliations Officer

About the role
We are seeking a diligent Reconciliations Officer to join our finance team at a leading hospitality group in Lagos. The role focuses on ensuring the accuracy of financial records by reconciling bank transfers, point‑of‑sale transactions, and other statements.
Key responsibilities
- Reconcile bank transfers with the company’s books using Tally.
- Match point‑of‑sale (POS) transactions against sales records.
- Prepare monthly bank ledger reconciliations and report any irregularities.
- Recommend and implement corrective actions for identified variances.
- Create journal entries to resolve issues from previous months’ reconciliations.
- Reconcile statements and authorise room‑rent payment receipts.
Required profile
- HND or B.Sc degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 3–6 years of relevant experience in reconciliation or accounting.
- Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail.
- Integrity, honesty and a problem‑solving attitude.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Tally accounting software.
- Experience using POS systems.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
