Project Engineer (Metal Fabrication and Furniture)

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Project Engineer to lead all metal fabrication and furniture projects at ZICS. The role involves planning, scheduling, forecasting resources and managing technical activities from concept through completion, ensuring quality and timely delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor engineering projects.
• Ensure compliance with codes, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications.
• Interact daily with clients to interpret requirements and represent them on site.
• Control overall project quality, budget, schedule and personnel performance, reporting status regularly.
• Review engineering deliverables and initiate corrective actions.
• Collaborate with the project manager and other participants to provide technical support.
• Deliver product specifications and procedures to the manufacturing team.
• Develop and enforce quality control criteria and safety guidelines for the team.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Project Engineer or similar engineering role.
• Strong knowledge of design and visualization software such as AutoCAD.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with relevant rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards.
• Ability to manage multi‑discipline projects and lead teams.
• Decision‑making, leadership and problem‑solving abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, mechatronics or a related field (preferred).
• Relevant training or certifications in project engineering.
