About the role
The American University of Nigeria School of Law seeks a full‑time Professor of Law to lead teaching, research and community service initiatives. The role involves shaping curricula, mentoring students and contributing to the university’s development philosophy.
Key responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and graduate law courses and supervise classroom learning.
- Provide academic advising and support to students throughout the semester.
- Participate in departmental and university meetings and attend academic functions.
- Conduct research, publish in reputable journals and secure research funding.
- Engage in community service and development activities as directed by the Dean.
Required profile
- Ph.D. in Law from a reputable university.
- Minimum 12 years of teaching and research experience at a recognized university.
- Extensive experience supervising Master’s and PhD candidates.
- Demonstrated leadership in curriculum development and faculty mentorship.
- Record of publications in local and international peer‑reviewed journals.
Required skills
- Proficiency with ICT tools for teaching and research.
- Effective use of e‑resources and digital libraries.
