Professional Furniture Carpenter

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled Professional Furniture Carpenter to join our workshop in Ibadan. The role involves crafting high‑quality wooden furniture, from doors and cabinets to bespoke sofas, while ensuring precise dimensions and finishes.

Key responsibilities

• Read and interpret drawings, sketches and verbal instructions to determine dimensions and finish specifications.
• Produce a wide range of furniture pieces, including bespoke and multifunctional designs, using various woodworking machines and hand tools.
• Maintain a clean, organized workshop and enforce health and safety standards.
• Assemble cabinets, frames and other wooden articles with precision and quality control.
• Collaborate with production supervisors, design, technical, customer service and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Adhere to company quality standards and meet or exceed customer expectations during installations.
• Lift and move furniture items and equipment as required.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of proven experience as a Professional Furniture Carpenter in a reputable furniture manufacturing company.
• Excellent carpentry and joinery craftsmanship with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to follow processes and procedures consistently.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Customer‑oriented attitude with a positive, cordial demeanor.
• Physical strength and stamina to handle heavy furniture and equipment.
• Capability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Preferred qualifications: NABTEB, Trade Test, or Diploma in Woodworks.
