Product Manager - Orchestration

About the role

The role sits at the heart of a highly technical orchestration platform that powers global payments at scale. Based in Nigeria and operating in a remote‑first, globally distributed environment, you will own a defined sub‑area of the orchestration layer, shaping routing, retry, authentication and optimisation of payment flows across multiple providers and markets.

Key responsibilities

• Own outcomes for a dedicated sub‑area of the orchestration layer, driving multi‑quarter impact on conversion, authorization rates and revenue.
• Define and refine problem spaces by synthesising merchant feedback, performance data, provider behaviour and platform constraints.
• Write detailed product specifications covering routing logic, fallback behaviour, authentication flows and provider‑specific edge cases.
• Partner with engineering to evaluate feasibility, trade‑offs and system design decisions in a highly technical environment.
• Define and track success metrics such as authorization rate, conversion, latency and cost efficiency.
• Lead launch readiness and iterate post‑launch based on real‑world performance data.
• Communicate product decisions clearly across engineering, design and go‑to‑market teams.

Required profile

• Proven product ownership experience delivering measurable outcomes in complex technical environments.
• Ability to independently define and structure ambiguous problem spaces without predefined requirements.
• Strong capability to make autonomous trade‑offs across scope, technical debt, quality and delivery timelines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to align cross‑functional teams and surface risks early.
• Experience in data‑informed environments and defining success metrics.
• Prior exposure to fintech, payments, routing, authentication or PSP integrations is a strong plus.

Required skills

• Technical fluency to collaborate with engineers on system design, APIs, integrations and orchestration logic.
