Procurement Officer (Sustainable Packaging)

About the role

The Paper Packaging Company is seeking a Procurement Officer to lead the sourcing of sustainable packaging materials for its production lines in Lagos. This full‑time, on‑site position will ensure a reliable supply chain while supporting the company’s environmental mission.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and qualify suppliers for eco‑friendly paper packaging components.
• Obtain quotations, evaluate offers and raise purchase orders in accordance with company policies.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing and service levels with vendors.
• Maintain strong supplier relationships and monitor performance.
• Track inventory levels and coordinate timely delivery of materials.
• Analyse purchasing data to propose cost‑saving and efficiency initiatives.
• Collaborate with operations, finance and production teams to ensure quality and continuity of supply.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Economics or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience in procurement, sourcing and supplier management.
• Demonstrated ability to prepare and manage accurate purchase orders.
• Strong analytical capabilities for evaluating costs and supplier performance.
• Familiarity with sustainable sourcing practices and experience in manufacturing, packaging or FMCG is an advantage.
