PR & Government Relations Officer

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned PR & Government Relations Officer to act as the primary liaison between our company and key regulatory bodies. The ideal candidate will have deep, hands‑on experience navigating Nigeria’s government offices, especially within the port and import/export environment.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain relationships with agencies such as NAFDAC, NPA, Nigeria Customs, and SON.
• Represent the company confidently at all levels of government and regulatory meetings.
• Monitor regulatory developments and ensure company compliance with relevant laws and standards.
• Support and coordinate import/export and port operations, providing regulatory guidance to logistics teams.
• Prepare and present reports on regulatory matters and advocacy activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of direct experience dealing with NAFDAC, NPA, Nigeria Customs, or SON.
• Demonstrated network and credibility within government and regulatory circles.
• Strong understanding of port operations, clearing, forwarding, and logistics processes.
• Professional, discreet, and able to represent the organization at senior levels.
• Background in clearing, forwarding, or logistics is a plus.
• NIPR membership is an added advantage.
