Pet Groomer

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Pet Groomer to join our team in Marina, Lagos. You will provide professional grooming services to a variety of pets, ensuring they look their best while maintaining their health and comfort.

Key responsibilities

• Bathing and drying pets using specialised shampoos and industrial dryers.
• Untangling, trimming, and styling fur according to breed standards or owner requests with clippers, shears and razors.
• Reducing shedding by stripping loose undercoat.
• Performing nail care, including trimming and grinding.
• Cleaning ears, teeth, and expressing anal glands safely.
• Inspecting skin, eyes, and body for lumps, rashes, ticks or fleas and reporting findings.
• Maintaining a calm environment and handling anxious or aggressive animals safely.
• Sanitising grooming stations, tools and tubs after each session.

Required profile

• Minimum SSCE qualification.
• At least 12 months of hands‑on pet grooming experience.
• Ability to communicate grooming preferences clearly with pet owners.

Required skills

• Use of clippers and shears.
• Operation of industrial dryers.
• Nail trimming and grinding techniques.
