Operations & Maintenance Manager – Hotel Facilities

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Operations & Maintenance Manager to lead the facilities maintenance function of a hotel in Nigeria. The role combines technical leadership, asset management and team development to ensure safe, efficient and reliable engineering systems that support an excellent guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day maintenance and engineering operations, establishing preventive, predictive and corrective programmes.
• Conduct comprehensive asset surveys, maintain an asset register and develop lifecycle and budgeting plans.
• Select, configure and roll out a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS), creating hierarchies, work‑order workflows and performance dashboards.
• Supervise maintenance supervisors, technicians and external contractors, assigning work orders and monitoring performance.
• Oversee the operation and maintenance of HVAC, electrical distribution, generators, plumbing, fire detection, elevators, BMS, kitchen and laundry equipment, pool systems and low‑current systems (CCTV, access control, networking).
• Coordinate maintenance activities with hotel operations to minimise guest disruption and ensure timely resolution of breakdowns.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing hotel or large‑scale facilities maintenance teams.
• Strong knowledge of asset management, budgeting and lifecycle planning.
• Demonstrated ability to implement and manage a CMMS platform.
• Leadership skills to develop technical staff and foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
