About the role
A school in Ketu-Ikosi, Lagos is looking for a qualified Nursery 1 Teacher to support young children’s early learning, communication, and social development in a safe and engaging classroom. The role starts immediately and is full‑time onsite.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver age‑appropriate lessons using play, songs, stories, and creative activities.
- Teach foundational literacy, numeracy, phonics, and handwriting.
- Monitor pupils’ learning and developmental progress.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and child‑friendly classroom.
- Communicate with parents about pupils’ progress and collaborate with other teachers.
Required profile
- Minimum OND, HND, or B.Sc. in Education or a related field.
- At least 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in Nursery or Early Years education.
- Knowledge of phonics, early literacy, numeracy, and child‑centred teaching methods.
- Good communication, lesson‑planning, and classroom‑management skills.
