About the role
The Nigerian Army is launching a massive recruitment drive for 2024, inviting men and women to join as regular soldiers. The screening exercise will take place across all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory between 5th and 18th December 2024.
Required profile
- Possess a valid WASCE, GCE, NECO, or NABTEB certificate; trade candidates must also hold a Trade Test/City Guild Certificate.
- Be single, born in Nigeria, and hold a National Identity Card/NIN or BVN.
- Meet physical, mental, and medical fitness standards set by the Nigerian Army.
- Have no criminal convictions and provide a certified birth certificate or age declaration.
- Hold a valid state of origin certificate.
- Male candidates must be at least 1.68 m tall; female candidates at least 1.65 m.
- Non‑trades applicants: age 18‑22 as of 31 December 2024; trades applicants: age up to 26.
- Achieve at least four passes in WASCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB in no more than two sittings.
