Mathematics Teacher – Full‑time, On‑site

About the role

Lead British International School (LBIS) in Ibadan is seeking a full‑time Mathematics Teacher to join its on‑site faculty. The successful candidate will deliver engaging mathematics lessons that align with the school’s blended English National and Nigerian curricula, supporting learners from early years through secondary levels.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver mathematics lessons across a range of topics.
• Design, set and mark assignments and assessments, providing timely feedback to students and families.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress.
• Contribute to curriculum review, development and continuous improvement.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions and school events.
• Foster a safe, inclusive and positive classroom environment.

Required profile

• Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics and Mathematics Education.
• Qualified Teacher status with appropriate certification (e.g., PGCE or equivalent).
• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education or a related field.
• Experience teaching the English National Curriculum or similar frameworks, preferably in an international setting.
• Excellent classroom management, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding, inclusive teaching practices and continuous professional development.

Required skills

• Proficiency in lesson planning and curriculum development.
• Comfort with basic educational technology for lesson delivery, assessment and communication.
