Marketing Officer

About the role

Abax Professional Services is seeking a proactive Marketing Officer to drive brand awareness and customer traffic for its café in Lagos. The role focuses on creating and executing marketing campaigns, managing content, and building partnerships to boost sales and loyalty.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase customer traffic and sales.
• Promote the café’s products, seasonal offerings, and special events across all channels.
• Plan, execute, and monitor marketing campaigns aimed at new customer acquisition and retention.
• Maintain consistent brand messaging and visual identity on social media, website, and offline materials.
• Create engaging visual content such as photos, videos, graphics, and promotional assets.
• Organise loyalty programmes, giveaways, and seasonal marketing initiatives.
• Coordinate in‑house events, product launches, tasting sessions, and customer engagement activities.
• Collaborate with influencers, food bloggers, and content creators to expand brand reach.
• Identify and secure partnerships with nearby businesses, schools, offices, and community groups.
• Develop corporate marketing initiatives for bulk orders, meetings, and catering opportunities.
• Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences.
• Track marketing budgets, campaign expenditures and prepare performance reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Marketing, Mass Communication, Business Administration, Public Relations or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of marketing experience, preferably in hospitality, food service, retail or lifestyle brands.
• Strong analytical, reporting and customer‑focused mindset.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Basic graphic design using Canva.
• Familiarity with social media advertising and analytics tools (advantageous).
