Market Price Data Officer

About the role

The Market Price Data Officer will collect real‑time commodity price information from assigned markets and commercial centres in Lagos. This contractor position supports the company’s market intelligence platform by ensuring accurate and timely data entry.

Key responsibilities

• Visit designated markets and commercial hubs to gather current commodity prices.
• Verify price information with multiple vendors before submission.
• Upload verified prices via the mobile application or designated platform, attaching required evidence such as photographs.
• Ensure each submission includes correct market name, date, and product specifications.
• Maintain a minimum data accuracy rate of 95% and promptly correct any identified errors.
• Report unusual price fluctuations, shortages, supply disruptions, and market trends.
• Provide brief market observations when requested.
• Follow all company operational procedures and maintain confidentiality of company data.

Required profile

• Minimum education: SSCE (or equivalent).
• No prior experience required; a willingness to learn on the job.
• Residence close to a major Lagos market is an advantage.
