Maggot Production Officer – Farming

About the role

The Maggot Production Officer will manage daily maggot farming operations at Workcentral Nigeria Limited’s facility in Ijebu Ode. This full‑time position focuses on producing high‑quality maggots for use in animal feed and related applications.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day maggot production and maintain suitable substrates.
• Monitor production environment, breeding conditions, and hygiene throughout the process.
• Harvest, process, and store maggots according to farm procedures.
• Maintain accurate production records and track output to identify yield issues.
• Follow farm safety, biosecurity, and continuous‑improvement protocols.

Required profile

• Minimum OND in Animal Nutrition, Animal Production & Health, Microbiology, Veterinary‑related field, or other relevant agricultural/biological science.
• Practical experience in maggot production; experience in insect‑based animal feed production is an advantage.
