Logistics Procurement Officer – Yola, Nigeria

About the role

The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is seeking a Logistics Procurement Officer for its Yola office in Adamawa State, Nigeria. The role supports NRC’s mission to provide equitable access to basic services for displaced people and returnees by managing procurement, fleet, warehouse and asset operations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and build capacity of the local logistics team.
• Implement NRC logistics policies, procedures and donor requirements across procurement, fleet, warehouse and asset management.
• Ensure compliance with anti-corruption, transparency and cost-efficiency principles.
• Maintain filing systems and archives according to local regulations.
• Conduct market surveys, pre-qualification exercises and keep an updated vendor database.
• Prepare and issue RFQs, ITBs, purchase orders and verify related documents.
• Track and maintain the vehicle fleet, schedule maintenance, manage fueling agreements and ensure lawful documentation.
• Process travel requests, maintain trip schedules and produce logistics site reports.
• Compile weekly and monthly logistics reports for the Logistics Coordinator.

Required profile

• Strong commitment to assisting refugees and displaced populations.
• Experience supervising logistics or procurement teams in an humanitarian context.
• Knowledge of donor regulations and NRC logistics handbook.
• Ability to ensure transparency and anti-corruption standards in all processes.
