Kitchen Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager to lead daily kitchen operations and ensure the highest standards of food quality and service. This role is based in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos, and offers a dynamic environment within the hospitality sector.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate all daily kitchen operations and food production activities.
• Maintain consistency in food quality, taste, portioning, and presentation.
• Supervise, train, schedule, and manage kitchen staff.
• Plan and monitor food preparation processes to ensure timely meal delivery.
• Ensure strict compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
• Monitor inventory levels, stock usage, and kitchen supplies to prevent shortages and waste.
• Implement effective food cost control and waste reduction measures.
• Conduct quality checks on all meals before service.
• Maintain proper use, maintenance, and cleanliness of kitchen equipment and workstations.
• Collaborate on menu development, recipe standardization, and food costing.
• Prepare daily production and performance reports.

Required profile

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior kitchen role such as Head Chef or Kitchen Manager.
• Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety, inventory management, and cost control.
• Proven leadership and team management abilities.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent organizational, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Culinary certification is an advantage.
