Junior Finance Officer

About the role

The Junior Finance Officer will support the finance team in managing daily financial transactions for construction projects. This role involves processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and assisting with financial reporting to ensure accurate project cost tracking.

Key responsibilities

• Process and record daily financial transactions accurately.
• Assist with accounts payable and receivable activities, including invoice preparation.
• Track project‑related expenses, operational costs, and petty cash.
• Review invoices and supporting documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Reconcile bank accounts, cash transactions, and supplier accounts.
• Monitor outstanding invoices, payments, and receivables.
• Support the preparation of monthly financial reports and expense summaries.
• Identify discrepancies, escalate issues, and ensure compliance with internal controls.

Required profile

• HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of relevant accounting/finance experience.
• Good understanding of accounting principles and financial procedures.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
