Junior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Junior Accountant to manage financial records and support the accounting operations of our supermarket. The role involves ensuring transaction accuracy, handling tax compliance, and maintaining the financial integrity of daily store activities.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and process day‑to‑day accounting transactions, including receivables and payables.
• Monitor cashier operations to ensure strict compliance with financial policies and operational standards.
• Manage and ensure full compliance with tax components and statutory regulations.
• Reconcile daily sales transactions and bank deposits; prepare precise monthly financial reports.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning to improve overall financial efficiency.
• Monitor inventory records, support stock audits, and provide full support during internal and external audits.

Required profile

• 2 – 4 years of professional accounting experience.
• Minimum of OND/HND/B.Sc. in Accounting or a related field.
• Professional accounting certificates (such as ACA or ACCA) are an added advantage.
• Familiarity with tax component systems.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and interpersonal abilities with a smart, decent, and professional demeanor.
