Junior Accountant

About the role

The Junior Accountant will support the finance team of Teestone Hotel and Apartment by handling daily financial transactions and assisting with month‑end closing. This entry‑level position offers exposure to all core accounting functions within a busy hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Record and maintain daily financial transactions across rooms, restaurant, bar, events and other departments.
• Assist in reconciling revenue, cash collections, POS transactions and payment records.
• Process supplier invoices, receipts and payment requests while monitoring accounts payable and receivable.
• Prepare cashbooks, journals, ledgers and supporting schedules.
• Support payroll preparation and staff financial records.
• Help track departmental expenses, control costs and assist with monthly financial closing.
• Provide documentation for internal and external audits.
• Maintain confidentiality of all financial information and report discrepancies to the Chief Accountant.

Required profile

• B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 1–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
• Strong attention to detail, honesty, integrity and ability to work under pressure.
