Industrial Electrical Maintenance Technician

About the role

We are looking for an Industrial Electrical Maintenance Technician to ensure reliable operation of our vegetable oil extraction and packaging lines. The role involves maintaining electrical equipment in a food‑production environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance (PPM) and emergency breakdown repairs on vegetable oil extraction machinery, seed‑crushing presses, industrial pumps and packaging lines.
• Troubleshoot and repair faults on electrical panels, three‑phase motors, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), relays, contactors and Star‑Delta/DOL motor starters.
• Monitor, test and maintain backup power systems including diesel generators, ATS panels and distribution boards.
• Diagnose mechanical or electrical issues using multimeters, insulation testers (Megger) and technical diagrams.
• Assist the mechanical team to minimise production downtime and enforce safety protocols such as LOTO and food‑grade hygiene standards.

Required profile

• OND or Federal Ministry of Labour Trade Test (Grade 1 or 2) in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as an electrical or maintenance technician in manufacturing, food production or industrial settings.
• Reliable, detail‑oriented and willing to work shifts as required.
