ICU Nurse – Critical Care

About the role

Genesis Specialist Hospital is seeking a full‑time ICU Nurse to join its intensive care unit in Ikeja. You will provide direct, high‑quality care to critically ill and post‑surgical patients, ensuring continuous monitoring and timely interventions.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor vital signs and manage ventilators under medical direction.
• Administer medications, infusions, and support emergency interventions.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and implement individualized care plans.
• Document care accurately and adhere to infection‑prevention and patient‑safety protocols.
• Educate patients and families about treatments and participate in multidisciplinary rounds.
• Contribute to quality‑improvement initiatives and best‑practice projects within the ICU.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with a current license in good standing.
• Experience or training in critical‑care nursing, capable of caring for ventilated and hemodynamically unstable patients.
• Background in emergency nursing or emergency response is an advantage.
• Certified in BLS and ACLS; additional critical‑care certifications are a plus.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical reasoning skills.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
