Home Tutor for Nursery 1 – Literacy & Numeracy (Lekki Phase 2)

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated home tutor to work with a 1‑year‑old child (Nursery 1) in Lekki Phase 2, Lagos. The tutor will focus on early childhood education, helping the child develop basic reading, writing, and numeracy skills using the EYFS curriculum.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver 1.5 hours of instruction each session, twice a week (Tuesday and Friday) at 4:00 PM.
• Teach literacy, numeracy, and phonics using engaging, age‑appropriate activities.
• Motivate the child and track progress toward reading and writing milestones.
• Adapt lessons to the child’s learning needs and maintain a supportive environment.

Required profile

• Experience or training in early childhood education or a related field.
• Ability to work with young children and foster a love of learning.
• Flexible schedule to meet the specified days and times.
• Willingness to travel to the client’s home in Lekki Phase 2.

Required skills

• Knowledge of the EYFS curriculum.
• Proficiency in teaching basic literacy, numeracy, and phonics.
