Health Manager (P-4) – Abuja, Nigeria

About the role

The Health Manager will support the Chief of Health and HIV in overseeing the Maternal, Neonatal, Child and Adolescent Health (MNCAH) portfolio within UNICEF Nigeria. The role focuses on delivering high‑impact health programmes that improve outcomes for children and families.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Chief in managing the MNCAH portfolio and ensuring alignment with UNICEF strategies.
• Lead the planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and reporting of MNCAH outputs.
• Provide technical guidance and operational support throughout the programme cycle.
• Develop and manage results‑based management approaches and ensure delivery of agreed results.
• Offer advisory services, technical support and advocacy to strengthen health interventions.
• Build partnerships, networks and collaborations with stakeholders.
• Promote innovation, knowledge management and capacity‑building activities.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or equivalent in public health, pediatric health, obstetrics and gynecology, family health, biology, health research, global/international health, health policy, biostatistics, epidemiology or a related field.
• Minimum eight years of professional experience in public health or related areas.
