Head of Business Development

About the role

We are looking for a Head of Business Development to shape and execute growth strategies for our telecommunications and technology portfolio in Nigeria. The role will drive new market entry, partnership creation and revenue generation across multiple sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a business development strategy aligned with corporate objectives.
• Identify and pursue new markets, customer segments, business models and partnership opportunities.
• Build and manage a pipeline of commercially viable opportunities from origination to closure.
• Negotiate and structure complex deals, ensuring commercial viability and investment returns.
• Collaborate with network, technology, finance and other functions to assess asset‑monetisation opportunities.
• Monitor industry trends in telecommunications, ICT and digital services to uncover emerging opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Marketing, Telecommunications, Engineering, IT or related field; MBA preferred.
• 10–15 years of progressive experience in business development, commercial strategy or sales, with at least 5–7 years in senior leadership roles.
• Proven track record of originating, developing and closing high‑value B2B, enterprise or wholesale deals.
• Experience creating strategic partnerships and new business models, preferably in telecommunications or infrastructure‑intensive sectors.
• Strong understanding of the Nigerian telecom, ICT and digital‑services landscape.

What we offer

• Salary: NGN 3,000,000 – 4,000,000 per month.
