General Manager – Renewable Energy Division

About the role

Our client, a leading provider of innovative power and energy solutions in Nigeria, is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead its Renewable Energy Division. The GM will provide strategic and operational leadership, driving business growth, market share expansion, and delivery of solar and inverter solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the division’s strategic plan to achieve growth and profitability.
• Oversee day‑to‑day operations, ensuring efficiency and service excellence.
• Lead business development and sales efforts to secure new clients and expand market share.
• Manage project execution, delivering renewable energy projects on time, within scope and budget.
• Provide leadership, coaching and performance management for cross‑functional teams.
• Monitor financial performance, manage forecasts and budgets, and implement profitability improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy or related field; MBA or postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
• 8–10 years of progressive leadership experience, including at least 5 years in a senior management role within renewable energy, solar, inverter or power sectors.
• Proven track record in business development, operations management and strategic leadership.
• Strong understanding of Nigeria’s renewable energy market, dynamics and regulatory environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with business reporting tools.
