Financial and Business Analyst

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Financial and Business Analyst to join our team in Lagos. The role involves preparing financial reports, supporting budgeting processes, and providing analytical insights to drive business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse income statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements.
• Conduct variance analysis and develop financial models for forecasting.
• Assist in annual budgeting and periodic forecasting, monitoring performance against budget.
• Gather, organise and maintain large sets of financial data and ensure data accuracy.
• Evaluate investment opportunities, perform cost‑benefit analysis and prepare investment recommendations.
• Identify financial risks, conduct sensitivity analysis and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Present financial reports and insights to senior management and cross‑functional teams.
• Research market trends and industry benchmarks to support strategic planning.

Required profile

• HND or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
• 1 year of experience as a Financial Analyst or in a similar role.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Attention to detail, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High level of initiative, self‑motivation and adaptability.
