Engineering Geologist / Geotechnical Engineer

About the role

T.E.A.M. Nigeria Ltd. is looking for an experienced Engineering Geologist/Geotechnical Engineer to join our dedicated project team and supervise various geotechnical activities on the Maradi‑Duste Railway Project in Kano State. The role requires strict adherence to project standards, specifications and safety regulations while working closely with the department head and a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise all geotechnical site activities in line with approved standards and specifications, verifying drawings and test procedures.
• Coordinate with laboratory supervisors to verify borrow‑pit and embankment control tests, ensuring quality control of embankment works.
• Prepare daily reports and submit weekly progress reports, recording non‑conformances and site challenges.
• Oversee bridge pile drilling works and associated integrity tests, providing documented records for foundation verification.
• Supervise concrete quality control on site and in laboratories.
• Manage site investigation assignments, including borehole drilling and other required tests.
• Identify and report geotechnical challenges during earthwork excavation, embankment filling and bridge foundation works.
• Supervise foundation treatment works according to project standards and promptly report any non‑conformances.
• Monitor and approve construction materials for geotechnical assignments in collaboration with the material engineering department.

Required profile

• Experienced Engineering Geologist/Geotechnical Engineer.
• Ability to cooperate closely with the department head and a multidisciplinary team of professionals.
