Electrical Engineer – Renewable Power Projects

About the role

Our client, a provider of renewable and sustainable power solutions based in Victoria Island, is seeking a dedicated and technically proficient Electrical Engineer. Reporting directly to the Project Manager, this hands‑on role is critical to the successful execution of hydro, renewable and sustainable power construction projects across Lagos State.

Key responsibilities

• Electrical installations & commissioning: execute installation, configuration and testing of equipment, control panels, wiring and power distribution units at renewable energy sites.
• Maintenance & troubleshooting: conduct routine inspections, preventative maintenance and rapidly diagnose and repair electrical faults to minimise downtime.
• Site support & collaboration: work closely with the Project Manager, civil, hydro engineers and contractors, supervise technicians and estimate material requirements.
• Quality assurance & HSE: ensure compliance with local and international electrical safety codes, participate in safety meetings and maintain accurate logs.

Required profile

• Education: Minimum National Diploma in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Experience: At least three years of hands‑on electrical engineering experience in heavy construction, power generation or renewable energy.
• Professional membership: Active registration with COREN or IEEE.
• Work mode: Full‑time on‑site across various Lagos State project locations.
