Driver – Lagos

About the role

Quema Consulting Limited is seeking a reliable driver to transport passengers and goods across Lagos, primarily in the Marina and Yaba areas. The role involves strict adherence to safety regulations, vehicle maintenance, and punctual service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Observe all speed limits, traffic signals, road markings and parking rules.
• Never operate the vehicle under the influence of alcohol, drugs or impairing medication.
• Avoid handheld mobile phone use while driving and keep distractions to a minimum.
• Ensure all passengers wear seat belts and that passenger count never exceeds available belts.
• Perform pre‑journey checks of brakes, lights, tire pressure and fluid levels.
• Schedule and oversee regular oil changes, tire rotations and general maintenance.
• Maintain up‑to‑date driver’s licence, vehicle registration and insurance documents.
• Keep the vehicle interior and exterior clean and presentable.
• Use GPS and navigation apps to select optimal routes, considering traffic, construction and weather.
• Transport passengers or deliver goods according to established schedules.
• Take regular breaks to prevent fatigue on long trips.
• Load and unload cargo safely, ensuring proper balance and securing items.
• Interact courteously with clients, assist with boarding, luggage and complete delivery receipts and mileage logs.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
• At least 3 years of proven driving experience.
• Good knowledge of Lagos roads, especially Yaba and surrounding areas.
• Effective communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
• Responsible, punctual and professional attitude.
• Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance.

• Competitive salary ranging from NGN 70,000 to NGN 150,000 per month.
