Director of Customer Success – Nigeria & Ghana

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Director – Customer Success to drive business growth and acquire new customers across Nigeria and Ghana. The role is highly commercial, focusing on building senior executive relationships and converting prospects into long‑term customers.

Key responsibilities

• Drive new customer acquisition across banks, fintechs, digital platforms and other financial institutions in Nigeria and Ghana.
• Own and deliver business growth and revenue targets, managing the full business development lifecycle from prospecting to contract execution.
• Build and nurture relationships with senior decision‑makers and position Yabx as a trusted growth partner.
• Generate and qualify opportunities through outreach, networking, referrals, industry events and ecosystem engagement.
• Collaborate with Product, Risk, Delivery, Legal and Leadership teams to support opportunity conversion and ensure smooth hand‑over to implementation.
• Monitor market developments, competitor activity and provide regular pipeline, forecast and closure updates.

Required profile

• 12+ years of experience in enterprise sales, business development, strategic partnerships or commercial leadership.
• Proven track record of originating, negotiating and closing complex enterprise deals in the financial services ecosystem.
• Established relationships with senior executives in banks, fintechs, payments and digital financial services in Nigeria and/or Ghana.
• Strong commercial acumen with a history of achieving revenue and customer acquisition targets.

Required skills

• Experience selling solutions or services to banks, fintechs and financial institutions.
• Knowledge of digital lending, embedded finance, payments and banking technology ecosystems.
