Digital, News Media and Multimedia Journalist

About the role

The Digital, News Media and Multimedia Journalist will research, write and produce compelling news stories and multimedia content for Quantum Expressions Media Consult LTD across a range of digital platforms. The role requires strong storytelling, adaptability and a deep understanding of the digital news landscape.

Key responsibilities

• Research, investigate and verify facts through interviews, documents and on‑the‑ground reporting to create accurate news stories.
• Pitch story ideas aligned with the editorial focus and cover breaking news promptly, providing real‑time updates.
• Write SEO‑optimized articles and produce photos, videos, audio recordings and interactive graphics for digital platforms.
• Adapt content for websites, social media and mobile apps, using CMS tools to publish and manage material.
• Conceive and execute multimedia packages that integrate text, visuals and audio for immersive storytelling.
• Engage audiences on social media, promote stories, monitor trends and analyse performance metrics.
• Collaborate with editors, producers, photographers and videographers to deliver high‑quality multimedia content.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Media Studies or related field (Master's degree is a plus).
• 4‑7 years of professional journalism experience with a strong digital and multimedia portfolio.
• Demonstrated understanding of journalistic ethics, media law and legal frameworks.
• Experience working in a multi‑platform news environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with content management systems (CMS) and SEO best practices.
• Strong photo, video and audio editing skills using multimedia production tools.
• Social media management and audience engagement expertise.
• Ability to create basic data visualisations and interactive elements.
