Consultant Pediatrician – Full-time

About the role

The Mother and Child Hospital in Lagos Mainland is seeking a full‑time Consultant Pediatrician to join its specialist team. You will deliver expert medical care to infants, children, and adolescents within a family‑centered environment.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat and manage a wide range of pediatric illnesses.
• Conduct routine check‑ups, growth monitoring and immunization schedules.
• Collaborate with neonatologists, gynecologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
• Provide guidance and education to parents or guardians on child health and development.
• Stay current with advances in pediatric medicine and apply best practices.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) with board certification in Pediatrics.
• Proven clinical experience as a pediatrician in a hospital setting.
• Strong foundation in primary care and medicine.
• Specialized knowledge in neonatology and newborn care.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Commitment to compassionate, patient‑centered care and familiarity with child‑focused healthcare regulations.
