Compliance & Onboarding Specialist

About the role

The Compliance & Onboarding Specialist will ensure that all new customers, merchants, agents and partners are onboarded in line with regulatory standards and internal risk policies. Working closely with Operations, Technology, Risk and Customer Experience teams, you will safeguard the company against financial crime while delivering a smooth onboarding experience.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct onboarding reviews for individuals, merchants, agents, corporates and partners.
• Perform KYC, KYB and enhanced due diligence, verifying identity documents, company records, beneficial ownership and source of funds.
• Apply risk‑based classification and conduct sanctions, PEP and adverse media screening.
• Escalate high‑risk or suspicious cases to the MLRO or Compliance Manager.
• Implement and monitor compliance policies and onboarding standards.
• Support internal and external compliance audits and maintain onboarding records, logs and periodic reports.
• Perform onboarding risk assessments and recommend appropriate risk ratings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, Accounting or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in compliance, KYC/KYB, AML/CFT or onboarding.
• Mandatory DCP certification.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset and excellent written and verbal communication.
• Experience in fintech, banking, payments or other financial services.
