Cinematography & Video Editing Instructor (2‑week on‑site)

About the role

The KWS Academy is seeking an experienced Cinematography & Video Editing Instructor for its July 2026 MVP Cohort. This is a two‑week, on‑site instructional role in Ikeja, Lagos, delivering practical and theoretical training to aspiring media professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver practical and theoretical training in cinematography and video editing.
• Teach camera operation, composition, lighting, audio recording, and visual storytelling.
• Train students on professional editing workflows using industry‑standard software.
• Supervise practical exercises, assignments, and class productions.
• Provide constructive feedback and mentor students throughout the programme.
• Collaborate with other instructors to deliver an integrated learning experience.
• Stay current with emerging trends, tools, and best practices in media production.

Required profile

• Proven experience in cinematography, video production, or professional video editing.
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro.
• Good understanding of camera systems, lighting, sound, composition, and post‑production.
• Previous teaching, training, or mentoring experience is an advantage.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
• Availability to teach on‑site in Ikeja, Lagos for the programme duration.
