Chief Representative – Nigeria Office

About the role

The Chief Representative will lead Dubai Chambers’ presence in Nigeria, driving strategic engagement with government, business associations and key stakeholders. Based in Lagos, the role ensures alignment with Dubai’s international economic agenda and promotes the emirate as a global business hub.

Key responsibilities

• Execute Dubai Chambers’ international strategy in Nigeria, acting as the official representative and enhancing visibility.
• Build and maintain high‑level relationships with government entities, business associations and strategic partners.
• Oversee market intelligence, analysing opportunities and risks to provide strategic insights.
• Attract high‑potential Nigerian companies to Dubai and support Dubai‑based firms entering the Nigerian market.
• Lead daily office operations, including resource allocation, financial planning and compliance.
• Plan and deliver promotional events, trade missions and business facilitation programmes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in international business, economics, public policy or related field.
• 8–10 years of experience in international relations, government affairs or economic development, with at least 4 years in a managerial role.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and the local language, with strong communication and negotiation abilities.
• Deep understanding of Nigeria’s political, economic and business environment.
• Proven public‑speaking experience and ability to work across diverse cultural contexts.
