Chef Manager

About the role

Familyfun Concept LTD is seeking an experienced Chef Manager to lead its kitchen and bakery operations in Lagos. The role combines culinary creativity with strong operational oversight to ensure high‑quality meals and baked products are delivered consistently.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily kitchen and bakery operations, including production planning based on sales forecasts.
• Prepare and oversee high‑quality meals, snacks, pastries, and baked goods.
• Develop, standardize, and maintain recipes across production batches.
• Supervise, train, and schedule kitchen and bakery staff, ensuring proper hygiene and food‑safety standards.
• Monitor food costs, inventory, stock usage and wastage, and produce daily production, stock, wastage, and sales reports.
• Coordinate purchasing, ensure ingredient availability, and maintain proper storage and rotation.
• Introduce new menu items and commercially viable baked products while meeting order deadlines.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a chef manager, head chef, kitchen manager or similar role.
• Strong practical baking expertise, especially in bread, cakes, pastries and pies.
• Good knowledge of food costing, portion control and inventory management.
• Demonstrated leadership, organization and staff‑management abilities.
• Understanding of food hygiene, safety and quality‑control procedures.
• Relevant culinary, catering or hospitality qualification is an advantage.
