About the role

Nexus Grid is looking for a Business Development Representative to join our growing team in Lagos. This role focuses on lead generation and pipeline development across key sectors, helping organisations strengthen their cybersecurity posture.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and qualify new prospects by researching target companies and assessing fit.
• Run outreach and lead generation campaigns using appropriate channels to generate interest.
• Build and manage a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities throughout the sales cycle.
• Engage decision‑makers and key stakeholders to understand their cybersecurity challenges.
• Support proposal preparation by gathering requirements and collaborating on solution design.
• Collaborate closely with sales and marketing teams to align messaging and tactics.

Required profile

• Demonstrated B2B sales and lead generation experience with a track record of meeting targets.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills to articulate value and close deals.
• CRM and pipeline management experience, ensuring accurate tracking of opportunities.
• Ability to explain cybersecurity solutions in clear, business‑focused language.
• Highly organized and results‑driven, able to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Tech or cybersecurity experience is a plus, providing deeper industry insight.
