Branch Manager

About the role

The Branch Manager will lead the day‑to‑day operations of our Marina branch, driving loan portfolio growth and savings mobilization while ensuring profitability and regulatory compliance. This role requires strong leadership, a focus on customer relationships, and the ability to meet business targets in a micro‑finance environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily branch operations and ensure achievement of business and profitability targets.
• Drive loan portfolio expansion and mobilize savings.
• Supervise, coach, and monitor staff performance, conducting regular meetings and performance reviews.
• Ensure timely loan disbursement, repayment, recovery, and manage Portfolio at Risk (PAR) to reduce defaults.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including KYC documentation.
• Prepare and submit periodic operational and performance reports.
• Safeguard branch assets and uphold effective internal controls.

Required profile

• HND or B.Sc. in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Banking or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a Microfinance Institution, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of credit administration, savings mobilization, and branch operations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proven ability to achieve business targets and manage teams effectively.
