AWS Instructor – Full-time Weekday Role

About the role

IJAN Africa is seeking a full-time AWS Instructor to deliver on-site training to learners in Lagos on weekdays. The role involves teaching AWS fundamentals and advanced topics, mentoring students and supporting their certification journey.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver structured lessons, labs and demos covering core AWS services, architecture, security and best practices.
• Develop and continuously update course materials, slide decks, assignments and assessments aligned with current AWS certifications.
• Mentor learners, provide feedback on projects, track progress and assist with exam preparation.
• Collaborate with fellow instructors and academic staff to maintain consistent training quality.
• Contribute to curriculum improvement and stay current with AWS updates and industry trends.

Required profile

• Strong practical experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC and IAM.
• Hands-on knowledge of DevOps tools, CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code (CloudFormation or Terraform).
• Proven ability to design, deploy and manage scalable, secure, highly-available cloud solutions.
• Prior teaching, training or mentoring experience in cloud computing or related technical fields.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for diverse learner backgrounds.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Relevant AWS certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, Developer, SysOps Administrator, DevOps Engineer) are highly desirable.
