Automobile Technician

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Automobile Technician to join our team in Lagos. The role involves maintaining, servicing, and repairing a range of vehicles, including electric models, ensuring they meet quality standards before delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out routine inspection, maintenance, servicing, and repairs on assigned equipment, vehicles, or systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and technical faults.
• Perform testing and functional checks after repairs or maintenance activities.
• Support Pre‑Delivery Inspection (PDI) to ensure vehicles meet required quality and operational standards.
• Assist with inspection, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting of Electric Vehicles (EVs) and related systems.
• Use appropriate tools, diagnostic equipment, and technical manuals when carrying out repairs and inspections.
• Identify defective components and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, inspections, and technical issues.

Required profile

• OND or relevant technical qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
• 2–5 years of hands‑on technical experience.
• Practical knowledge of electrical and/or mechanical systems.
• Experience in automobile maintenance, PDI, workshop operations, equipment maintenance, or EVs.
• Ability to use basic diagnostic and technical tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Capability to read and understand technical drawings, manuals, or wiring diagrams.
