Associate Pharmacy Technician

About the role

The Associate Pharmacy Technician supports pharmacists in delivering safe, timely medication to patients at Reliance Health clinics. You will prepare, label, and dispense prescriptions while maintaining accurate records and stock levels.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and dispense medicines, ensuring correct dosage, labeling, and verification against prescriptions.
• Enter prescription details into the pharmacy system, update patient information, and maintain electronic records.
• Monitor stock levels, restock shelves, remove expired items, and report shortages to the pharmacist.
• Package medicines using blister packs, bottles, or unit‑dose containers and apply accurate labels.
• Keep the pharmacy clean, organized, and safe; answer patient queries and assist with calls.
• Report medication errors, damaged stock, or patient complaints and follow controlled‑drug handling procedures.

Required profile

• Certificate of Pharmacy Technician and registration with the Board of Pharmacy, with a current practicing license.
• 0–2 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician (or NYSC exemption).
• Good knowledge of dispensing commonly prescribed medication.
• Excellent written and oral communication, able to explain medical concepts in lay terms.
