Assembly Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an Assembly Engineer to perform mechanical and electrical assembly, installation, and setup of packaging machines and commercial ovens at our Lagos facility. The role involves testing, commissioning, quality assurance, client support, and routine maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and electrical assembly, installation, and setup of packaging machines and commercial ovens according to engineering specifications.
• Conduct operational tests, troubleshoot technical issues, and calibrate equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Inspect finished installations to verify they meet quality and reliability standards.
• Provide basic operational training and technical guidance to clients after installation.
• Carry out routine pre‑delivery inspections, maintenance on warehouse stock, and complete accurate installation and service reports.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of hands‑on experience installing, maintaining, or repairing industrial machinery such as packaging equipment or commercial appliances.
• Technical School Certificate or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field; NYSC completed.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, ability to read electrical wiring diagrams, and proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Reliable, punctual, safety‑focused, and able to work under defined schedules.
• Age between 18 and 30 years and residence near Ikeja is an advantage.
